1. Location and Reservations

Where do you offer your services? We’re based in Montreal, and we cover Laval, the North Shore, and the South Shore. For other locations, travel fees may apply, but we love traveling to tell your stories!

How do you book a date with us? It’s simple: after you reach out to us using the form on our Contact page, we’ll schedule a meeting to get to know each other and discuss your vision. Your reservation is officially confirmed once the contract is signed and a deposit is paid.

How far in advance should I book? For weddings, we recommend booking 3 to 9 months in advance, especially for highly sought-after dates on summer weekends. For portrait or engagement sessions, 2 to 4 weeks is usually sufficient.

2. Expertise and Technology

What is your style of photography and videography? Our style combines photojournalism (to capture the moment and genuine emotions as they happen) with an elegant and luminous artistic vision. Our goal is for you to forget we’re even there, so we can capture authentic and spontaneous images and footage.

What equipment do you use? We work exclusively with state-of-the-art professional gear, particularly the Sony lineup (such as the A7 IV for incredible sharpness). We use wide-aperture lenses for stunning background blur (bokeh) and optimal low-light performance, as well as stabilizers for cinematic, smooth video footage.

How do you ensure the safety of my memories? This is a top priority at 961moments. On the big day, we record your footage onto two memory cards simultaneously. As soon as we return to the studio, your files are stored on our secure, redundant server, ensuring that no data is lost.

3. D-Day

What does the team consist of on the wedding day? If you choose a combined package, our core team consists of a photographer and a videographer who work in perfect sync. Depending on the size of your wedding, we can also add a second photographer to cover both the bride and groom’s preparations simultaneously or to capture additional angles during the ceremony.

What do you wear to a wedding? We dress professionally, elegantly, and unobtrusively so we can blend in with your guests, while still being able to move freely to capture the best shots throughout the day.

4. Delivery and Alterations

Do you edit all the photos and videos? Yes. Every photo you receive is carefully edited to adjust the exposure, contrast, and color balance to match 961moments’ visual style. Video clips also undergo a rigorous editing and color grading process.

What is the turnaround time? Asneak peek will be sent to you within 48 hours if included in your package. The complete photo gallery and wedding video are typically delivered within 4 to 8 weeks.

Do you provide RAW (unedited) files? No. RAW files are raw material. Our work includes editing and post-production, which are the very essence of our artistic identity. You’ll receive high-resolution, print-ready JPEG files and finalized videos that are ready to watch and share.
